TUSB8041: USB 3.0 memory stick recognition error

Hi TI experts,

We are using USB Hub(TUSB8041) as shown in the block below.

We produced 100pcs, but there is a USB recognition defect at 2pcs.

3 downstream ports are used. USB 2.0 memory stick recognizes it. USB 3.0 memory stick causes errors in all downstream ports.

Device manager of WINDOW recognizes the memory stick as normal. However, in the File Explorer of Windows, the name of the memory stick is displayed differently and cannot be opened.

Have you experienced these symptoms?

Can you predict the cause of the problem?

Hi Downey,

Can you share what is reported in Device Manager? Also, can a tool like usbview.exe or USB Device Tree Viewer.exe be installed and they can share a screenshot of the SuperSpeed part of the tree? It sounds like there is some signal quality issue on the failing units. Can you share what the thermal pad under the hub looks like? This connection can impact signal quality.

Also, please provide the schematic.
