Hi Team,

We would like to ask your help regarding our customer's inquiry below.

I have a CPU that supports one MII interface. I need to provide a 10/100 Base Tx as well as a 100Base FX interface, but only one needs to operate at any given time which I should be able to select using a simple method. How can I achieve this using DP83620 or DP83630? You can also suggest any other Ethernet Phy in addition to DP83620/DP83630 to achieve the same. Using two independent phy is also permitted but selection should be simple.

    Hi Danilo, 

    This should be possible. You could do this with one PHY and a mux, or two PHYs, either would work. Register configuration can be used to enable/disable 100BASE-FX operation. We recommend using the DP83822HF or DP83822IF instead of the DP83630, since it is a newer part.
