Guys:

In checking the forums, I have a different bidirectional differential question.

I did use M-LVDS at a prior employer in a DoD application [but in a 1 way clock splitting across a mezzanined/backplane application].

I am seeking any info if anyone had done a circuit design application that has done translation between M-LVDS and RS-485 bidi differentially with 2 TI ICs? (the elevated temperature is a nice to have, but not crucial)

HI Jim,

I am not aware of anyone doing this kind of application but may be possible. You would need to ensure that the single-end signal level are compatible between the devices. A device like THVD1449V would be a good place to start since a wide VIO is supported.

Malik - like the thought on the THVD1449V -- but I am thinking along 50MHz on the 485 side. Trying to see if the THVD1450D was going to be available (says some was coming out this week on the website?). Would like an M-LVDS transceiver recommendation too.

What is the data rate on the MLVDS side? SN65MLVD206B looks like a good fit.
