TLIN1029A-Q1: TLIN1029 and 1021 compatible design

Part Number: TLIN1029A-Q1

Hi Team,
Compared with 1021 and 1029, 1021 has two more pins, WAKE and INH. Considering the supply situation of the chip, customer have made a compatible design on the peripheral circuit of the chip so that the two chips can be used.
1) WAKE and INH functions may not be needed for practical applications, so when WAKE and INH of 1021 are not used, what should be done with these two pins? Pull up or pull down? How much resistance do you need to connect the pull-up and pull-down?
2) The PIN3 and PIN8 chips of 1029 are not connected internally, right? Does it matter if it is pulled up or pulled down externally?

  • Amelie,

Thanks for bringing this to E2E.

    1) WAKE can be either shorted to GND or VSUP, either is fine. Shorting to VSUP saves ~2uA of current, but otherwise it is the same. INH can be left floating.

    2) That is correct it does not matter what is connected to pins 3 and 8 on the TLIN1029, they are not internally connected.

    Regards,

    Eric Hackett
