TPS25750: Change the PDO after power up

Part Number: TPS25750

Hi team,

Customer is using TPS25750 in their project as a UFP-SINK, and they get 2 PDOs, 1 is 9V/2A, another 1 is 5V/3A, and they use EEPROM to load the configure file. Due to their test requirement, they want to disable the 9V/2A PDO even the adapter could provide this PDO output. They can't reprogram the EEPROM because it already get solder to the board, so they want to check with us if there is any possible to use the software to control disable this 9V/2A, and how to do this.

Could you help comments?

Thanks and Best Regards,

Will

  • Will,

This is possible to do with the host interface.

They will need to configure the part to only have a 5V/3A PDO for the initial configuration and then update the Sink PDO configuration and force a renegotiation through the host interface.

We are actually planning to add an app not on how to do this in the 3rd or 4th quarter this year.

    Regards,

    Chuck
