Hi team
Could you help check if the Lane swap function is also applied for DP signal? Is there anything in particular that the customer should be aware of? Thank you.

Hi,
Is this for source or sink design?
Why you want to use the DP159 to support DP? Why not use the DP141 or 142 for DP?
Thanks
David
Hi David
It is for source application. DP159 is a common device for their MP project and the customer wants to know the feasibility.
Hi,
The DP159 is not the right device for this design since its output is not DP compliant, they should consider the DP141 or DP142 if their source output is DP compliant.
Thanks
David
Hi David
But this application note give an example to use DP159 for DP source application, and the customer also used DP159 as a DP retimer at the source side before.
Hi,
The app note is written for the DP159 to be used on the sink side as shown below.
With DP159 output not to be DP compliant, and the complexity of using DP159 as a DP retimer, I would not recommend using the DP159 as a DP retimer solution for the source side design.
Thanks
David
