TCAN1463-Q1: Wake up via CAN

 Hello Team, customer has following question:

I have a question regarding wake up via CAN.

TCAN1463-Q1 has also Supply pin from the battery.

Does this device have a wake up capability via CAN as TCAN1462-Q1 has?

From TCAN1462-Q1 datasheet:

 

And if yes, is it working also when only Vsup is available in ECU sleep mode (VCC not) ?

    Hi Josef,

    Yes. Both of these devices support wake via CAN as defined by ISO 11898-2:2016. This allows the transceiver to wake up from a low-power mode and indicate to the CAN controller that there is activity on the CAN bus. The wake up pattern (WUP) that these devices respond to is defined in the ISO spec and will be met by any complaint CAN frame. 

    The low-power WUP receiver on TCAN1463 is supplied by Vsup, so wake via CAN is active even when Vcc and Vio are removed when the transceiver is in Sleep mode.
