Can SN65LBC179 be used for an automotive application? TI.com says the rating is Automotive and Catalog.

    Sakai-san,

    The SN65LBC179Q version has gone through the AECQ100 qualification which is done to qualify devices for Automotive applications. So that specific part number can be used in Automotive applications, the other part numbers in the datasheet cannot.
