TUSB8041: Timing sequence restriction when chaining TUSB8041

Part Number: TUSB8041

Hi team,

some questions for TUSB8041 application as follows, looking forward to your answers. Many thanks!

1. when using TUSB8041 as below image shown, is there any timing sequences requirements for  chaining devices?

2. For downstream port power, in current application, Vcc/Vbus of downstream device weren't controlled by TUSB8041, and weren't Always power. Is there any timing sequence requirement between TUSB8041 power and Vcc/Vbus of its downstream device?

Rayna

  • Hi Rayna,

    1. The USB hubs / devices won't be detected until they are powered on.  Please note that USB_VBUS input to the hub is a detection input and should not be tied to a power rail, it should only be high when an active host is connected.

    2. The hubs will not be able to detect the devices until they are powered.

    Regards,
