TUSB522P: TUSB522P 3.3 V Dual-Channel USB 3.1 GEN 1 Redriver, Equalizer - Pin Configuration and Function

Part Number: TUSB522P

Q:Why is the pin configuration (CFG1, CFG2) form TUSB522P (U1) in TUSB522P EVM user guide different to TUSB522P datasheet?

  • There is no difference. The "R" state of J5 and J8 is for when you want to control the signal from some external device.

  • Hi Thomas,

Yes some of the pin names are different between the EVM and the final datasheet.  EVMs are usually developed well before final silicon so there are often pin name changes that might not get reflected.  In this case, the datasheet is correct that these pins are 2 state inputs but there are additional options that were added on the EVM.
