DS90UH940N-Q1: RX_LOCK enable effect on LOCK HW pin

Part Number: DS90UH940N-Q1

Hello,

According to DS90UH940N-Q1 data sheet setting RX_LOCK_MODE = 1, will result in RX-LOCK assert when device is linked to a Serializer even if
active video is not being sent.

Here does it mean only the General_Status Register (Address = 1Ch) Bit 0 will be set when device is linked to a Serializer even if
active video is not being sent, or the Both the register 1C Bit 0 and the Hardware LOCK pin will also be set?

Are the register 1C Bit0 and hardware pin LOCK (PIN 1 of the IC) in sync?

Best regards,

Prasad.

  • Hi Prasad,

Bit 0 of register 0x1C and hardware pin LOCK (pin 1) are in sync. This means that if RX_LOCK_MODE=1, both bit 0 of register 0x1C and the hardware LOCK pin will be 1 (logic high) when the device is linked to a serializer even if active video is not being sent. Please let me know if you have any additional questions.

    Sincerely,

    Ryan
