DS90UB962-Q1: what if FPD3_MODE is 00?

Part Number: DS90UB962-Q1

Hi,

From datasheet, the FPD3_MODE 00 represented for 2 status: reserved or CSI-2 mode

it's confusing.

and when customer want to change 964 to 962, what should be paid attention to?

do we have detailed comparison for 960/62/64? thank you

B&R

Yuan

  • Hello Yuan,

FPD3_MODE 00 is the setting for CSI-2 Mode, which will be set by default once the device powers-up and detects a specific voltage at the MODE pin. In the 962 datasheet, the "00: Reserved" line of text is a typo and should be removed. The highlighted section is correct.

We do not have a detailed comparison guide for the 960/962/964. Customers will have to review the first page of each datasheet for compatibility and supported features, and review the registers in each device datasheet in order to make sure a RESERVED register is not written to.

    Best,

    Justin Phan
