Hi,
According to the spec, The output driver range is -13.2~13.3V,
I want to know what voltage are acceptable if there are back power from another side?
-13.2~13.3V?
or -25~25V are acceptable, (Same as input voltage range)
thank you.

Hi
Double check with you for max voltage on Pin8 and 17, How much level are acceptable?
For example,
20V from external device that's mean 20V will injection at Pin8,17, short period of time, Is that ok?
I attached spec which is i used RS232 IC
Thank you
Hi Mark,
No the DOUT1/2 pins are rated to +/-13.2V so these pins cannot accept 20V on the input (but RIN1/2 can). - some type of protection would need to be added to clamp the driver to below these levels (such as TVS or maybe a surge diode if the pulse is longer to help with the excess current)
Please let me know if there are any other questions!
Best,
