XIO2001: Output with noise from High-side.

1.  We do have production tests of CLKOUT on the XIO2001.  It should conform to the specifications listed in datasheet, table 6.9.

2.  There is some possibility of cross-coupling for each of the pins, but I would think it is very small and not beyond the PCI specification.   

Are you having any issues with the device?

Hi,

If noise is entered on PS pin, what behavior is assumed on XIO2001?

My customer has one issue which is NOT to wake-up OS on special PCs with XIO2001 board.  On this board, PS pin of XIO2001 is directly connected with GND.  That is why I am asking.

Hi Hattori-san,

It is not possible to predict the behavior when noise is input on the PS pin without more context and additional information on the states of the other pins.  It should be easier to address this problem by looking at the issue your customer is having with the device and working to discover it's cause; unless you have some evidence that noise on the PS pin is the issue.  If you do, please share your findings.  I don't expect connecting the XIO2001 pad to GND will be a problem.  

In your customer's case, the XIO2001 it is waking up the OS when it is not expected.  How did we confirm that the XIO2001 is waking up the OS?  Are there reports or lab results that you can share?

Does the XIO2001 EVM have the same issue as the XIO2001 on the board?  Do you have a schematic you can share?
