TCA9406: alternative device with higher B-port rise time

Part Number: TCA9406

Hi Team,

My customer use TCA9406 for a I2C level shift application, I2C data rate is 1MHz/s

After the SI simulation, they found that the signal come from slave to the B port would fail the B port rise/fall time spec.

Could you help recomended the alternative device with higher max rise time(300ns would be great)

  • These entries describe the TCA9406's output signals.

The TCA9406 does not have any timing requirements on open-drain input signals.

  • Hi Fanbin,

I agree with Clemens' statement. These switching characteristics are for the output signals. There are no specific timing requirements needed by the device on open-drain input signals. Please abide by the I2C standards when configuring timing specs.

If you want to double-check the simulations, check to see if the output waveforms agree with the min/max specs of rise/fall times as listed in the datasheet.

    Regards,

    Tyler
