Hello Team,

I had a doubt in TCAN1044 and TCAN1462 transceivers.

Is there a time limit regarding the start-up/power-down of Vcc and Vio? For example, is it possible to switch off the Vcc (indefinitely) in a safety case while Vio is still on and also vice versa: Vio is switched off while Vcc is still on?

Kavana,

There is no time limit or power sequencing requirement for TCAN1044AV-Q1 or TCAN1462V-Q1. As long as both VIO and VCC are supplied above the under voltage threshold, the devices will function correctly. It is okay to switch off either supply while the other is still active, but the device will be in a protected mode at this point, disabling any CAN communication.
