we are currently performance testing the TCAN 4551 connected using SPI to an µC, which creates the SPI messages.
TCAN should send out the messages using CAN-FD as fast as possible.
First Question:
Our can bus load is only 3-4% (send only) , caused by the delays necessary for TCAN to accept and transfer SPI Messages to the CAN Interface. Is there any way to improve the delay time ?
Results:
TCAN needs very long until sending out the next message. (CAN High signal and SPI signal)
TCAN is able to create very high bus load on CAN-FD, using the retransmit mode:
Any improvements possible ?
