SN65LVDS93B: Linux Driver for SN65LVDS93B?

Hi,

We are new to LVDS interface and were wondering if a Linux driver is required for the SN65LVDS93B transmitter or does it simply work as plug and play?

We intend to use this transmitter in our custom board with AM437x MPU to convert RGB display lines to LVDS. Thank you!

Hello Berkay,

If you have the hardware (Mode setting) correctly done on the design, then you do not need any software for that.

Thank you for the quick response. When you say Mode Setting, are you referring to the rising or falling edge of the clock selection from CLKSEL pin? As far as I can see, there are no other settings that we can do?

Correct, I mean the control signals, such as CLKSEL and SHTDN pins. Also, to use the correct number of Data inputs and connect the unused pins to GND.
