MAX3223: MAX3223IDBR

Part Number: MAX3223

I connect 2 MAX3223 transceivers together, I am seeing a sawtooth/rippling waveform on the positive pulse on pin 17 (Tx) output. There is a 6" cable between the RS-232 transceivers. One of the transceivers appear much worst then the other for this rippling noise. This noise is greatly reduced when a longer 3 foot cable is used instead of the 6 inch cable. The pictures show the 6 inch application. Is there something I can do to remove this noise on the positive side of the pulse?
