Is the difference between the DS280DF810 and the DS250DF810 only the rate?
1. Can DS250DF810 be used in 100G CR scenarios? (DAC cable 100G out of the panel)
2. DS250DF410 application：
a) Can 2 pieces be used in 100G SR and LR scenarios? (100G optical port out of the panel)
b) Can 2 pieces be used in 100G CR scenarios? (DAC cable 100G out of the panel)

    See below my inputs to your questions.

    Is the difference between the DS280DF810 and the DS250DF810 only the rate?

    • Yes. The DS280DF810 VCO supports a wider frequency range as docuimented in the data-sheet. Otherwise these part numbers share the same design and feature set

    1. Can DS250DF810 be used in 100G CR scenarios? (DAC cable 100G out of the panel)

    • Yes it can. TI has performed extensive retimer testing for direct attach copper cable link cases. Moreover this product is currently implemented in multiple customer systems as front port copper host retimer 

    2. DS250DF410 application：
    a) Can 2 pieces be used in 100G SR and LR scenarios? (100G optical port out of the panel)
    b) Can 2 pieces be used in 100G CR scenarios? (DAC cable 100G out of the panel)

    • Yes to both cases. The DS250DF410 support both 25G front port optical and direct attach copper cable applications
