Digital Input Sensing

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LDC3114, TMAG5110, TMAG5111, DRV5013, DRV5023, TMAG5123, DRV5033, TMAG5124

Hi,

Here are the details of Digital Input – Sensing requirement (Isolation not required).

  • Input voltage range 0V to 16V DC
  • Active – High and Low Inputs
  • Automotive application

Please suggest me design solution for automotive application.

Thank you.

Regards,

Gopal

  • Hello Gopala,

I presume by the question title "digital input sensing" you want a device that you can communicate with digitally such as with I2C or SPI.  Neither for magnetic based or inductive based sensors, do we have such a automotive device with a supply range as high as 16V. Below are the devices I can suggest, if we ignore your supply criteria.

    Senses Communication Supply (V)
    TMAG5173 Magnet I2C 2.3 to 3.6
    TMAG170 Magnet SPI 2.3 to 5.5
    LDC3114 Metal IC 1.71 to 1.89

If by input you actually meant output, which will serve as an input to a microcontroller or something else in your system, then we do have switches and latches.  Switches include: TMAG5124, TMAG5123, DRV5023, DRV5033.  Latches included: TMAG5110, TMAG5111, and DRV5013.  Latches are something we suggest for motor applications.
