TPD4E05U06: Do we have test data on using this device over 6GBPS?

We don't have any test data for 8.1Gbps with this device. The best way to judge if a device can support a certain signal speed is by looking at the insertion loss graph in the datasheet. The general rule of thumb is to make sure the signal speed you're protecting is around or below the -3dB point on the insertion loss graph to minimally attenuate the signal.

I typically recommend a device with lower capacitance for a speed of 8Gbps. We have some lower capacitance devices that can support higher speed signals, what are the voltage levels on the line?

Hi John,

If it's 6 Ghz then I wouldn't recommend using the TPD4E05U06. If the lines are 3.6 V you can use the TPD4E02B04. For 5.5 V lines the lowest capacitance diode we'll have is 0.4pF, TPD1E05U06. 6GHz would be right at the -3dB point of the insertion loss graph for this device.
