Hi Expert, 

We found that there have some changes on TCAN1043A-Q1 datasheet about the SWE timers. My customer used TCAN1043-Q1 before, but they re-design to TCAN1043A-Q1 recently in their project which already in production. So we would like to clarify all the difference compare to TCAN1043-Q1 to remove the potential risks. 

  • What about SWE timer on TCAN1043? Does it have the same behavior?
  • Do you have the detailed comparison between these two? Not just from the electronic spec level.

    Hi Ethan,

    The TCAN1043 does not have any SWE timer. This feature can be considered new to the TCAN1043A.To ensure this does not cause any difference in behavior in the application, check that the application never leaves The transceiver in Standby mode for > 3 minutes. This would be considered an Sleep-Wake error (SWE) by TCAN1043A and cause the transceiver to automatically move to Sleep mode.
