Hi experts,

For this ethernet PHY device we provided a Linux driver through 3rd party website. (https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux.git/tree/drivers/net/phy/dp83822.c) Is this driver supported by Linux Kernal v4.4?

No. The 4.4 kernel was released in 2016. The latest release is 4.4.302-cip73 from last week, but the dp83822 driver was never ported back. The 4.4 series gets only fixes; see wiki.linuxfoundation.org/civilinfrastructureplatform/cipkernelmaintenance.

What is the reason for choosing to use such an old kernel? If you are paying somebody for a board with this kernel, then that is the party that is responsible for giving you support with backporting the driver.
