Is there any rating problem with the operation of applying 5V to VIO and 3.3V to VCC?

    Hi User,

    The TCAN1042 requires that Vcc be above 4.5V in order to operate as specified. If the Vcc voltage is below this level, the datasheet specified operation is not guaranteed. 

    The Vcc and Vio supplies have independant references to ground, so there is no issue electrically if the voltages are connected in this way from a device damage standpoint.
