I am very curious about : Difference of TPD4S012 and TPD6E001

1. TPD9E001 2. TPDS4012

Above the picture first one is TPD9E001, and the second one is TPDS4012

TPD4S012 has zener diode for VBUS.

But TPD6E001 doesn't have zener diode for VBUS.

Why the TPD6E001 is not use zener and TPD4S012 use the zener?

If I can use this part replace?

I mean that TPD4S012 has additional diode but TPD6E001 doesn't have additional diode. Is there any reason why use a additional diode?

Hi Kyoung,

Although the simplified diagrams are slightly different these devices have the same functionality, the main difference is the working voltage of the Vcc pin.

The Vcc pin of TPD6E001 is 7 V tolerant.

The Vcc pin of TPD4S012 is 20 V tolerant.

Thanks. You mean that 2 tvs diodes are working different voltage, so the higher one has additional zener.

Because the TPD4S012 supply stable voltage. Is it right?
