Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN65DP159
Hi team,
Please advise me on my question bellow.
Question:
If TDP0604 has a clock recovery circuit, when it is used in limited mode with HDMI2.0 use case?

Hello, Mita,
The TDP0604 is a redriver. Therefore, it performs signal conditioning through equalization, providing compensation for input channel loss from deterministic jitter such as inter-symbol interference.
However, the SN65DP159 is an HDMI 2.0 retimer. Therefore, it is a mixed-signal device that includes equalization functions plus a clock data recovery (CDR) function to compensate both deterministic and random jitter, and in turn transmit a clean signal downstream.
Thanks,
Zach
