DS92LX1621: can DS92LX1621 I2C bus tied together?

Hi,

    Customer SOC can W/R DS92LX1621 via I2C bus when DS92LX1621 is single on board. When 2 pcs of DS92LX1621 I2C bus are tied together, customer SOC cannot W/R DS92LX1621. 

1. Can DS92LX1621 I2C bus work well at multiple pcs connection, only I2C bus connection with different individual address.

2. Can we put all I2C bus connection together either serializer or deserializer? In general, I2C bus can work without problem in multiple pcs operation.

    Hello Alan,

    Yes there can be multiple DS92LX1621 on the same I2C bus, but they must have individual I2C addresses set by the CAD pin strapping to ensure that there are no address conflicts. 

    In general there are no restrictions on having multiple I2C ports connected so long as there are no address conflicts.
