HVDA551-Q1: HVDA551 Max differential voltage between CANH and CANL

Hi team,

I found that HVDA551 recommended Differential input voltage is -6~6V, because CANH and CANL of HVDA551 will exceed 6V when doing EMC test, could you pls help share the HVDA551 Max differential voltage between CANH and CANL as below, thanks.

When there is no separate limit, you need to care only about the individual voltages at the two bus pins. This implies that the maximum differential input voltage is 40 V − (−27 V) = 67 V.

I'm not sure I understand your question, the parameter you've highlighted in the datasheet screenshot is the max differential input voltage. Where are you getting -6V to 6V?

Thanks for your reply, the screenshot is TCAN1044 Max differential voltage, I want to confirm the corresponding parameters of HVDA551，-6-6 is HVDA551 recommended Differential input voltage, thanks.

Hangjie,

The absolute maximum range for the CANH and CANL pins on the HVDA551 is -27V to +40V. The device will be fine if the EMC test exceeds 6V.
