Can you please advise what LVDS serializer can be used in front to DS90UB954-Q1 deserializer ?

Hi Zoe, that is for connecting the remote thermal camera module with the LVDS output.
So the path is as follows

LVDS - SER - FPDLINK - DESER - MIPI/CSI

Hello Ivan,

The DS90UB954 does not have a compatible serializer that accepts a LVDS input. Is there a reason the 954 is required in the design?

We have DS90Ux947 serializer which takes an LVDS input. This can be paired with the DS90Ux940 deserializer to convert the data to CSI-2.

Thank you Zoe for a fast response. WE have Linux driver for 954.

Does DS90Ux947 DS90Ux940 has a Linux maintained driver or TI driver for Linux so we can port it into our solution ?

Hello Ivan,

Unfortunately, we do not have a Linux driver for DS90UB940-Q1. You can reference the datasheet for programming guidance and also use our Analog Launchpad GUI to try out different programming. Please let us know if you have any specific programming questions.

As an alternative SER-DESER option, can you confirm that the pair DS90UВ954 and DS90UB913A works?
If so, we would use CMOS on the DS90UB913A side.

Yes, the DS90UB954 is compatible with the DS90UB913A. In general, a list of compatible SerDes are listed on the first page of each part under features.
