Hi team,

I have a question.

When WAKE is not used, in which way can I terminate this pin?

Floating?
Direct connect to V_SUP?
Pull-up with XX Ohm?
Direct connect to GND?
Pull-down with XX Ohm?

Could you tell me if each way is acceptable?

If all selection is okay, that'll be fine.

But, if every way is not acceptable, could you tell me how to deal with this connection?

Hi Yuya,

Reference 9.3.5 of the datasheet, the WAKE pin is a bi-directional trigger, so it will trigger on either a rising or falling edge transition on the pin. You could leave it floating, however, I recommend tying WAKE to GND or VSUP with a resistor to prevent any glitches from noise.

Also, section 9.4.1.5.2 of the datasheet has information about calculating the resistor that you should when tying WAKE to GND or VSUP. The resistance should be equal to the max supply voltage divided by the IO current for wake.

Thank you for your super quick reply!

As far as I read datasheet in 9.4.1.5.2, I'm supposing any resistor is not required when connection is to GND. Is my understanding is correct?

And do you have any good resolution picture of Fig 9.9?

Hi Yuya,

You should use a resistor when the WAKE pin is connected to GND as well.

Unfortunately, I only have the same picture of Figure 9-9 from the datasheet. If you need any help interpreting the figure, please let me know.

Understood about GND resistor.

I can read R_series, but I can't read this. What are these resistor(R_???)?

Hi Yuya,

Sorry for the low resolution figure. The other resistor is R_BIAS since it is biasing the WAKE pin to VSUP in Low-Side Switch Configuration or GND in High-Side Switch Configuration.
