DS90UB913A-CXEVM: How to change the partner board in analog launch pad software

Part Number: DS90UB913A-CXEVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ALP

The manual for the EVM boards states the boards can be used with other than the pair that shows up in the Analog launchpad.  So a 913 has the 914 partner, the 954 has the 953 partner.    How does the partner get updated for the interface being used.  Specifically a 913A and 954 that is allowed per the manual for the DS90UB954 EVM if the power is not over coax and 5 V is on the 913 board.

  • Hi Malcolm,

The DS90UB913A EVM is design for a max PoC voltage of 5V. To use the DS90UB913 A EVM with the DS90UB954 EVM open J17 or J18 on the DS90UB954 EVM to disable PoC. J17 or J18 can then have 5V applied to the pin, or the boards can be powered separately. J17 correponds to Vpoc for RX1 and J18 corresponds to Vpoc RX0. With both devices powered up correctly, ALP should be able to recognize the partner device automatically and update once there is lock.

    Best,

    Zoe
