DS80PCI102: The bandwidth of the PCIE bus did not meet the 5G/GEN2 with DS80 PCI102

Dear teams

We encountered some issues with TI's PCIE driver chip (model: DS80 PCI102), which are described below:

The PCIE bus of the Intel I7-8850 module (set to 5G/GEN2 mode) is connected to the VI-CORE board via COME-BP and chassis backplanes, and a DS80PCI102 is used on the COME-BP and VI-CORE boards.
After testing our software program, it was found that the bandwidth of the PCIE bus did not meet the 5G/GEN2 standard. The specific manifestations of the failure are that the VI-CORE blade is not recognized in the operating system, and the Windows operating system often freezes and cannot do any software operations.

    This problem could persist from the device's equalization/tuning.

    It is important to understand the insertion loss and characteristics of the channel (insertion loss, etc.) as well. The DS80PCI102 data sheet Section 7.3 provides insight into Equalizer (Table 1) and VOD/De-emphasis settings (Table 2) of the device to understand these settings. Please refer to these tables to help correctly configure the DS80PCI102.

    Please also refer to the data sheet for correct resistor strapping of the device to ensure it is in the correct mode.
