TCA39306: Propagation delay in switch configuration

Part Number: TCA39306

Hi team,

As described in datasheet 8.1.5,  we can use Vref1=Vref2 (Switch configuration) .

In this case, Is it possible to specifically estimate the propagation delay?

Assumes I2C: 1Mbps.

Kind regards,

Goto

  • Hi Goto,

We don't have a typical propagation delay LH or HL but only provide maximums for this device in the recommended operating conditions in the datasheet in voltage translation configuration.

Prop delay is dependent on several factors such as supply voltage for both sides, load resistance, and load cap, so it would be difficult for me to tell if the customer configuration would produce higher/lower prop delays than the datasheet without knowing the parasitic of their design or their schematic.

Maximums are in the ns range for this device. Considering the customer is using this device at 1Mbps, I don't think prop delays will have much of an effect on the system.

    Regards,

    Tyler
