ONET8551T: optical network interface reference design

Hi:

I have a need to develop an embedded system with on-board SFP like components to handle 1Gb ethernet. I find an old ONET app note, but the transmit laser does not seem to be sourcable. are there current application notes for a newer part? I linked the ONET8551T but do not necessarily need/want to use that particular part. I only need to support gigabit rates.

Any help or direction is appreciated.

Hi Eric,

The current ONET portfolio has our most up to date devices and application notes for the devices will be highlighted in the device's homepage if one is available for that device. Is there a device you are interested in using for your application.

Thanks for the response. I am looking at the TIDA-00088 reference design. The specific TI components seem to be available, but the TOSA/ROSA non-TI parts appear to be past EOL. Is there a similar reference design that uses current/obtainable optical devices?

Unfortunately, the reference design you are highlighting is the latest one we have, and we do not have any other application notes or reference designs that highlight these devices in this application.
