Hi Expert, 

I am promoting TCAN1057A-Q1 in customer's new project to replace SN65HVD1050-Q1. I would like to know if they need to do the SW change when replace SN65HVD1050-Q1 with TCAN1057A-Q1.

    Ethan,

    These should have the same "software" since the device is not protocol-aware and has the same state diagram. Note that there is not a SPLIT pin on the TCAN1057A-Q1, which is one of the main differences between the components. Minor electrical/timing differences between the devices should not have an impact on the system implementation.
