Hi experts,

My customer want to know the placement of ESD protection placement.

On 9.2 Typical Applications, it is recommended to use ESD components. 

Is it recommended to be placed on the connector side or on the IC side? 

Also, if there is an effect on waveform quality or ESD depending on the placement put in, could you teach me the difference.
