DS25BR100: Use for 4m coaxial-cable MIPI signal

Part Number: DS25BR100

Hi team,

My customer is using SL83014 as Serdes for 4m coaxial-cable in their medial endoscope application.

And right now they want to use our DS25BR100 to improve their long distance transmission performance.

Could you please kindly help check if our DS25BR100 is suitable for their application?

And please help advise which side is more recommend to use this device?(Ser side or Des side)

MIPI requires a low speed back channel. Please note link below for devices supporting MIPI/LVDS:

Customer will use DS25BR100 before Ser or after Des like below, not for MIPI:

Could you please kindly help check which place is more recommend? Which place (before Ser or after Des) will have better performance?

Hi Brian,

This depends on how much loss we have on the input of the serializer or the amount of loss between deserializer and the receiver connected to the output of the deserializer. Which ever side has more loss would be a preferred approach.
