TCA9548A: Minimum spec of I2C input fall time

Part Number: TCA9548A

Hi Team,

I have a question about I2C input fall time(Ticf).

The customer system doesn't meet the minimum spec.

Is it mandatory to meet this spec?

They  are concerned that when the fall time increase, the rise time will be also impacted.

I checked several E2E posts to solve this problem.

According to 1), there is a possibility that ringing may occur, so the minimum spec should be met.

1) https://e2e.ti.com/support/interface-group/interface/f/interface-forum/1219526/pca9535-i2c-input-rise-and-fall-time-spec/4613485?tisearch=e2e-sitesearch&keymatch=fall%25252520time%25252520spec#4613485

According to 2), the maximum value is more important than the minimum value so minimum spec is no need to worry about it too much.

In fact, for relatively new I2C interface devices, no minimum value seems to be defined.

I understand that the part number is different between these posts.

In this case, I would like to know about TCA9548.

Please let me your opinion.

Best Regards,
