DP83TD510E: Reference design materials for intrinsically safe applications

Hi,

I have a customer who makes mining products and has explosion-proof requirements. Would you like to know whether this chip can meet them? Is there documentation of reference designs or considerations for intrinsically safe applications?

    Intrinsic safety is the requirement of the power supply, the input power, the input capacitance, and the communication interface need to be electromagnetic compatible.

    If the communication interface EMC (mainly surge and EFT, requiring Level A) is fine and the chip or overall solution consumes little power, it should be ready to use.

    Thanks for sharing. The DP83TD510E can meet the following specifications for EFT and Surge testing as shown in datasheet. Let me know if this is sufficient for your application.  

    IEC 61000-4-4 EFT ±4 KV at 5 KHz, 100 KHz

    IEC61000-4-5 surge ±2KV at 1, 2/50us, 8/20us
