Hi ,

Can we replace a DS90UB954-Q1 by a DS90UB638-Q1, if we don't need to use RIN1+& RIN1- pins?

    Hi Francois, 

    The UB638 has limited serializer compatibility. The UB638 deserializer is compatible with the UB633A and UB635.

    The UB954 can be replaced with a UB638 with RIN1+ and RIN1- pins not used on the UB638, and if the serializer is also replaced with one of the ones listed above.
