ONET8551T: Model files, samples for ONET-series transimpedance (+ limiting) amplifiers

Part Number: ONET8551T
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ONET8521T, ONET8501T, ONET8541T, ONET8531T

Hello,

I was performing a review on your ONET- series of transimpedance amplifiers for a new product we are working on.  These include:

ONET8551T

ONET8521T

ONET8501T

ONET8541T

ONET8531T

ONET4291T

I was wondering if you have spice models or something similar which I could use to simulate these devices?  Additionally, are samples available for any of these?  Since they're all sold as DIE, it seems most vendors require me to buy in large quantities, and unfortunately it does not look like TI has samples available when I check on the website.  If you have any recommendations for where I can get <10 parts, please let me know.

  • Hi Milap,

I was able to find the Field Application Engineers assigned to your company and I sent them a direct email so they can reach out to your team directly. This will be the best way to coordinate if samples are available and can be sent. As for the models question, unfortunately we do not have many models for these devices. Some devices on your list do have an S-parameter model. You can find if the product has a model by going to the product page and going to the Design & development section of the page.

    Best Regards,

    Ignacio

  • Hi Milap,

I am an FAE in the NY C area.

As Igacio mentioned we do not have many spice models on these devices which are available for public use.

We should be able to get you some samples., let us know which devices you are interested in testing.

Where are you located and if I may ask, what team are you on and what specifically are you designing?

    Regards, Bob

  • Hi Bob,

Thanks for getting back to me.  I'm located in Montgomeryville, PA in our team's system engineering division.  We primarily make photodetectors for IR, and I'm trying to design a high-speed preamp (2.5GHz) to integrate with one of our detectors.  Right now we're in the development stage, and I noticed that the ONET* series of amplifiers may be a good fit for this design.  Since design files are unavailable, the best option we have is to try testing with any samples you make available to us.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

    Thanks,

    -Milap
