Tool/software:

The system needs to implement the Wake on LAN function. Currently, the RMII_REFCLK 50MHz is generated by the system, but the RMII_REFCLK is turned off when the system enters sleep mode.

Is there a way to configure the registers to enable the DP83TC811 Wake on LAN function without the 50MHz clock?

Or is the 50MHz clock necessary for the Wake on LAN function?

Hello Kung,

Is the PHY currently in RMII slave mode? If so then yes the 50MHz clock is necessary for the Wake on LAN function as well as general PHY function.

To clarify however, is the question if the PHY can function properly without the 50MHz reference clock?
