TCA9543A: INT0/INT1 Pullup voltage

Part Number: TCA9543A

Tool/software:

Hello,
I would like to supply the switch with a voltage of 3.3V. The master bus voltage is 3.3V and the two slave buses are at 5V. The recommended operating conditions specify a maximum voltage of VCC+0.5V for INT0/INT1. In the typical application schematic, however, INT0/INT1 are pulled up to 5.5V with a pull-up, although VCC=2.5V. So do I have to pull INT0/INT1 to 3.3V with a pull-up and SD/SC 0/1 to 5V with a pull-up?

  • Hi Andreas,

Thanks for reaching out here. Based on your application, you do need to perform the pullups as mentioned. This configuration ensures the INT0/INT1 lines are within safe operating voltage and the SDA/SCL lines are compatible with the 5V slave devices.

    Regards,

    Alex
