DP83TC812R-Q1: Errate documents

Part Number: DP83TC812R-Q1

Tool/software:

Dear TI-Team,

we are looking for Errata documents of your Base-T1 Phy DP83TC812 because our customer reported a problem with interoperability with his ECUs.

Do you know anything about bad behaviour.

Thank you very much.

Yours faithfully

Joshua

  • Hi Joshua,

To clarify, this a communication issue with (1) the link partner (connectected on the TRD_M and TRD_P pins side) or (2) the ECU (connected on the TX/RX pins).

    (1) For non TI link Ethernet partners, we have a interopability report available for our customers with NDA. To find out if you have NDA, you may reach out to your local field representative.

    (2)  If this is an issue with the ECU side, which MAC interface (RGMII, RMII, MII) is being used? Also, what is the ECU part number?

Our PHY is compliant with the listed MAC interface standards, so as long as the ECU is compliant with the same standards, they should work with each other.

Could you also provide more details what you mean by interop issues? Is link up? Is ping working? Is there some form of packet loss? How do you know it is on the ECU side?

    Best regards,

    Melissa
