Hi,

We need to use the LVDS for our design, and now, customer request the LVDS Cable is 10-15m, we test the DS25BR440 that it is only support 8m Cable distance of the LVDS signal,

So please advise if there are any redriver or Serializer & decoder will support 10-15m Cable distance? thanks.

Greetings,

For longer distances typically DS15BA101 and DS15EA101 devices are used.

At 60MHz typically there is not much loss so i am not what type of cable insertion loss is used in this application. Please refer to DS15EA/BA101 for cable model.

Can you also inform us the below issue:

1. The max. distance of the LVDS signal transfer when we use the DS15BA101 and DS15EA101?

2. The voltage of the VPP is 750mV, but our LVDS voltage is 350mV, and we need to connect the screen to DS15EA101, is there any problem for this design?

Hi Liang,

1). This device has high gain about 30 to 40dB gain. Based on your cable loss you can calculate maximum distance.

2). If you must have LVDS compatible voltage swing then you can consider LMH0384 instead of DS15EA101. Here is a link to the LMH0384 data sheet:
