TVS2700: Are there any conditions for using TVS2700?

Hi all,

My customer was using the following configuration.

When I placed the TVS2700 between output and GND, I could confirm that it does not output even when TPS16416 is turned on.

Are there any conditions for using this TVS2700?

[For example]
・It is suitable only for large capacity power supply lines
・27V clamp voltage product is not suitable for 24V DC

If you know anything, please let me know.

Please check the orientation. In the reverse direction, the pins would short to GND.

Hi Ryusuke,

As Clemens mentioned, checking to ensure the pins of TVS2700 are connected correctly would be a good first confirmation.

Could you please confirm what you mean by "it" here? Is this the eFuse, the TVS2700, or something else?

Hi Josh,

This "it" indicates eFuse of TPS16416.

I would like to tell you that placing the TVS2700 stopped the TPS16416 output.

Remind my customer to watch the orientation of TVS2700.

Please let me know if this fixes the issue!

If not, I think the next step is confirming if the TPS16416 has blown. If there is input, but no output, I think this is a strong indication that the fuse has blown.
