DP83TD510E: Requirement : Automotive Ethernet PHY_10Base-T1S

Hi Team,

In our project, we are planning to use  DP83TD510E part for Ethernet PHY. But we need some clarification.

Question:

  1. Is this part support Automotive Ethernet PHY with single pair interface?
  2. Is this part compatible with 10Base-T1S? If no, can you suggestion other part which have Automotive qualified and support 10Base-T1S.(with Single twisted pair interface.)

    Hi Virali,

    1) DP83TD510E only supports 10Base-T1L, which is not compatible with other T1 PHYs. However, 510 can be used in a media conversion setup from T1L <-> T1, if the other PHY supports one of the same MAC interfaces as 510 (e.g. RMII, see Figure 6-1 in datasheet)

    2) This part is not compatible with T1S, and we do not currently have T1S PHYs available. Please reach out to your local FAE for more information on our PHY roadmap.
