DS250DF230: Can address: 0xff be read back for masked write operation?

Tool/software:

I'm not sure if address: 0xff can be read back as normal registers.

In the datasheet of DS110DF111 I saw an discriptions that told 0xff can't be read back.

Are there any diffrences between these two devices?
