DS90LV019: How to handle pins related to the transmission side when only the receiving side function is used

Part Number: DS90LV019

Tool/software:

Hi,

If only the receiver function of the DS90LV019TMTC is used, should the pins related to the transmission side be fixed to GND so that they do not become undefined? I think that pins 1, 2, 11, and 12 are the relevant pins.

Thanks,

Conor

  • Unused outputs should be left open.
Unused inputs must not be left floating; connect DE to GND to save power, and connect DIN to either GND or VCC.

  • Hi Conor,

Thank you for your question. As Clemens mentions, it is best to connect the Driver Enable (DE) pin to GND (it is active high) for power savings if you are not planning to use it.

You can then connect DIN to either GND or VCC to put the inputs in a known state.

    Thank you, Amy
